Tyler Hay

Tyler Devin Hay, 27, of Unionville Center, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly September 13, 2025. Born on February 20, 1998, in Marysville, Ohio, Tyler spent his life building lasting connections with family and friends.

Tyler was a devoted father to his daughter Rose and sons Tanner and Marcus Hay. He was engaged to Marissa Miller, with whom he shared a deep bond and a growing family. His love for his children and fiancée was evident in the time and care he gave to them.

He is lovingly remembered by his grandparents Jeff (Papaw) and Brenda (Mamaw) Jones; his mother Jeanie Hay and stepmother Bernadette Zosso; his aunt Sherrie Sparks; nieces Emmylou and Lily Sparks, Kate and Allison Wilcox; and nephew Jacob Wilcox; Aunt and Uncle Aaron and John Fife; Among countless aunts, uncles, and cousins who were close in each other's hearts. Tyler was preceded in death by his aunt Amanda Hay, aunt Teresa Brown, nana Betty Baldridge, and cousin Austin Jones.

From a young age, Tyler had a passion for tinkering with cars and trucks alongside his Papaw. Whether under the hood, behind the wheel, or riding shotgun to retrieve scrapmetal or just to help out a friend in need, Tyler found peace in helping and assisting him on many of their adventures, no matter how long the traffic behind them was backed up. His positive outlook on life, his smile, and the love for his family and friends will be deeply missed.

Tyler’s life will be honored at a funeral service held at Tidd Funeral Home in Plain City, Ohio on Wednesday, September 17. Friends and family are welcome to gather 1pm to 2pm for visitation time. Funeral services will begin at 2pm. A funeral procession will follow leading to Darby Township Cemetery in Unionville Center.
