Sue Strouse

Sue Strouse, age 89, of Westerville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at The Gables of Westerville. Born in Springfield, Ohio to the late Dewey and Martha Rollins, Sue was a graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Class of 1950. She later graduated from Columbus Business School and joined Columbia Gas Systems as an Executive Secretary, where she met the love of her life, Ed Strouse in 1954. They were married in 1958 and together raised their family: sons David Strouse (deceased) and Steve (Michelle) Strouse, grandchildren: Bradley (Allie) Strouse, Matthew (Samantha) Strouse, Tyler Strouse and Stephanie Strouse, great-grandchildren: Stella, Ezra, Ellie and Olive Strouse and many loving nieces and nephews. Sue was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Rollins and sister Joann Borror. Sue was an active, faithful member of Grace Polaris Church for over 45 years. She taught two year-old Toddlers Class and Third Grade SMM “Serving My Master” Class and she loved to serve in the nursery. Sue and Ed were very active with Global Missions and hosted visits with missionaries in their home. Sue was a Prayer Warrior and was a member of the Grace Care Team Prayer Warriors. She was a Deaconess and a very active “Pews Perkers” member. Sue belonged to Moms for Teens Bible Study and the Bible Study Fellowship. Sue loved her church and the people of Grace. Sue had an outpouring of love for her family, extended family and church family. She enjoyed going to the Word of Life Fellowship at Schroon Lake, NY and Hudson, FL. She loved her winter vacations at Gulf Shores, AL and Rockport, TX and her trips abroad to Israel, Europe and the British Isles. Above all, Sue lived the life of a Proverbs 31 woman. She was an excellent wife with wisdom and kindness. Her children bless her, her husband also. For she was a woman who feared the Lord.

Family will welcome friends from 2:00p.m.-4:00p.m. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2021 at the GRACE POLARIS CHURCH, 8225 Worthington-Galena Road, Westerville, OH 43081 where her Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 4:00p.m. SUNDAY with Pastor Dan Hammer, officiating.
