Roland "Rollie" J. Robbins, II

July 6, 1938 — July 23, 2023

Dublin, Ohio

Roland (Rollie) James Robbins II, age 85, of Dublin, Ohio, passed Sunday, July 23, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family.  Rollie was a graduate of Grandview Heights High School, Class of 1956, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.   After a 31-year career, Rollie retired from Ford Motor Company where he served as a Human Resources Manager in Dearborn, Michigan.  Rollie was an avid supporter of Ohio State Athletics and was a long-time member of the OSU Alumni Association, the Buckeye Club and the President’s Club.

Rollie was a proud parent and grandparent who loved his family.   He led by example and passed on his admirable qualities to his family: that of having a loving and lasting marriage, deep sense of loyalty, a strong work ethic, respect for others, the importance of education, and his love for The Ohio State University.  Rollie had a witty sense of humor.  He loved good music, good food and one-line jokes.  Rollie will be greatly missed by his family and dear friends.

Rollie was preceded in death by his parents Roland James and Esther Robbins and his sister Jackie Groza.  He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sandra Capuzzi Robbins.  He was blessed with three children and their spouses: Courtney and Rob Ritch, Kathleen and Edwin Lowsma, and Matthew and Anastasia Robbins. His adored eleven grandchildren are: Matthew, Abigail, Robert, and Jonathan Ritch, Charles, Joseph, Emily, Edwin, and Elizabeth Lowsma, and Elianna and Nathan Robbins.

Family will welcome friends from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. MONDAY, JULY 31, 2023, at ST. BRIGID OF KILDARE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin, OH 43017 where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation and begin at 11:00 a.m.  The Reverend Timothy Lynch will be the Celebrant.  Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
