Roger Gant

Roger Alan Gant, age 69, of Columbus, born January 11,1952 in Parkersburg, WV to Clarence Alfred and Agnes Irene (nee Williams) Gant, passed away September 13, 2021 from complications from cancer. Roger most recently lived in Columbus, OH and grew up in Parkersburg, WV; lived for many years in Sunbury, OH. He graduated from Parkersburg High School Class of 1969; where he was a member of the marching band playing clarinet. He attended University of WV in Morgantown and then earned a Bachelors Degree from UNC, Charlotte. Roger had his own business as a carpenter and Handyman. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, vacations to the Outer Banks, NC, Pittsburgh Steelers football and learning everything he could about anything. Preceded in death by loving wife of 39 years Barbara Murphy Gant, brothers Virgil Ray Ball and Ronnie Lee (Butch) Ball. Survived by daughter Stefanie (Demian) Gant Phillips, grandson Liam Michael Phillips and sister Jenny (Carlos Edward) Pannell. In honoring Roger’s wishes, there will be no services held.
