It is with deep sorrow and endless love that we announce the passing of Priya (Pinky) Olvin Vaz, who left this world on April 13, 2026, in Dublin, Ohio, at the age of 49—gone far too soon.
She was a loving mother, a caring wife, and the very heart of her family. Everything she did was rooted in love—quiet, constant, and unconditional. She had a gentle way about her, always putting others before herself and ensuring that everyone around her felt cared for.Priya created a home filled with warmth, comfort, and togetherness. Whether through the smallest daily acts or the greatest sacrifices, she expressed her love in ways that will never be forgotten. Her strength, kindness, and patience touched all who knew her.To her husband, she was a true partner and a source of unwavering support. To her son, she was everything—a guide, a comfort, and a constant presence of love. The bond she shared with her family will live on forever.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Olvin Vaz, and her cherished son, Clarence Vaz; her loving parents, Ravi Chawla and Mary Chawla; her in-laws, Victor Vaz and Gracy Vaz; her brother, Sanjay Chawla, and sister-in-law, Bijal Chawla; her nephew, Vivan Chawla; and her aunts, Veronica Harry and Regina Harry, along with many extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Violet Harry; her aunt, Celestine Harry; her uncle Anthony D’Cruz; and her cousin, Frenzina D’Cunha.
Though words cannot fully capture the loss we feel, we carry forward the love she gave us. That love will continue to guide us, even in her absence. A family service will be held to honor and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
