Nancy L. Kesselring, age 88, of Plain City, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Norman and Nellie Edwards, Nancy was a graduate of Holy Rosary High School and Mt. Carmel School of Nursing. A Registered Nurse, Nancy worked until she chose to stay at home and raise her growing family. Her strength showed after her husband Bill died unexpectedly in 1991 as she continued to raise her two youngest children, Kyle and Kelli. Nancy was a parishioner of St. Brigid of Kildare Church and was an active member and past secretary of the 55+ Club. She found great support among her many friends in the Special Olympics community. Nancy was a proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and Ohio State football fan.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother Norman Edwards, sister Mary Ellen Callahan, her beloved husband William “Bill” Kesselring, her children Kathy MacAlpine, Kyle Kesselring, Kelli Kesselring, and her grandson Tyler MacAlpine.
Nancy is survived by her son Michael Kesselring, daughter and son-in-law Susan and Tom Beery, son-in-law Ty MacAlpine, daughter-in-law Mison Kim Kesselring, grandchildren: Luke (Rachael) Beery, Samantha (Cameron) Howard, Holden Ray Kesselring, Nicole (Matt) Romito, Nori Kesselring, and Joon Kesselring; great-grandchildren: Annelise Beery, Nicholas Beery, Rosalie Beery, Gabrielle Beery, Charlotte Romito, and Theo Romito, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family will receive friends from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2026 at ST. BRIGID OF KILDARE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin, OH 43017 where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00a.m. WEDNESDAY with Monsignor Joseph M. Hendricks, Celebrant. Nancy will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Bill at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, Ohio.
