Miranda Lee Burnham fought the battle of her life for the past two years against the unspeakable monster of Appendix Cancer, sadly Cancer took its toll and Miranda lost her battle on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Until her last breath, she was the shining example of strength, courage, grace, and love throughout her fight. She was only 48 years old.
Miranda, most recently of Columbus, Ohio, was born and raised in Urbana, Ohio. She graduated from Urbana High School and attended Urbana University. Professionally, Miranda worked for Kroger for nearly 30 years in several different locations performing many jobs to perfection while earning recognition for her job performance numerous times.
Miranda was fierce protector to those she loved and was just as fierce to those she thought were being wronged. She was known to step up and defend perfect strangers. Lord help you if you wronged a loved one…..
She loved music, especially the Dave Matthews Band and Tori Amos, and “was in her church” when attending concerts. Miranda loved art of all types and loved visiting museums. She loved spending time outdoors and hiking but especially loved the oceans crashing on the beach in the early mornings. Sunrises and sunsets captivated her, no matter the location.
Miranda is survived by her parents, Patricia Baldwin Smith of Urbana and Raymond Goldsberry of Springfield. Husband, Bryan Burnham, Son Byron Sharp, Daughter Mahlynn Sharp, Bonus Babies Hila and Henna Burnham, Sister Kinley (Chad) Karns, as well as too many Uncles, Aunts and Cousins to count.
