Merrilee M. Myers

Merrilee Megan Myers, a resident of Marysville, OH and Sun City Center, FL, passed away on October 16, 2022 at the young age of 36 surrounded by family and friends at her home in Marysville.  She fought a long, hard battle with Spinocerebellar Ataxia, a rare genetic neurodegenerative disorder.   She was preceded in death by her father, Vaughn Fayette Myers, paternal grandparents Donnie and Margene Myers, maternal grandparents Richard and Lela Carter, Aunt Tanya Freniere, cousin AJ Freniere, and her late husband and love of her life, Matthew Rayner.  

Merrilee was raised in Coshocton and Hilliard, OH and was a 2004 graduate of Hilliard Darby High School.  She worked at Smiths Medical for the majority of her career in customer service and contracts administration until her disease progression led her to retire in 2018.  Since retirement, she started her own business selling make-up and beauty products on-line and this brought her a lot of happiness.  She had a strong work ethic throughout her life and prided herself on her independence, creativity, and taking care of others.  

Merrilee was a friend of many and loved spending time with her niece and nephew.  She had a big smile and gave even bigger hugs.  She was known for her unrelenting loyalty, perseverance, and generosity.  

She is survived by her mother, Frances Carter (Ted) Myers, sister, Amanda (Tom) Chacra, niece Mirrah Chacra, nephew Coen Chacra and Uncles Richard (Dee) Carter, John (Gail) Carter, and Craig (Debbie) Myers.  

Visiting hours will be held from 3:00p.m.-6:00p.m. on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2022 at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, DUBLIN-PLAIN CITY CHAPEL, 9720 SR-161, Plain City, OH 43064 (614)-733-0080. The Funeral Service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. on FRIDAY.  All are welcome.
