Mary C. Upperman

Mary Carolyn Upperman, age 87, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at home.  She was born to Bertie (Bradley) Kellar and Charles Edgar Kellar on October 22, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio.  Mary graduated from Columbus West High School, Class of 1952.  She married Lawrence Donald “Don” Upperman on October 31, 1953.  They had three children: a son Larry (Pam, survivor) who died of cancer in 2010, a daughter Kathy (Marvin) Edwards, and a daughter Janet (Braman) Wysong; numerous grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and at least two great-great-grandchildren that we know of.  Mary was a member of Abundant Life Lutheran Church in Hilliard.  She retired from the Hilliard City School District after 32 years of service.  In 1968, Mary was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.  She was placed in hospice care at home in January, 2022 and she started a new, walking, pain-free life at 10:45p.m. on February 2, 2022 leaving Don, her loving husband of 68 years, by her earthly bedside.  A Memorial Service will be held 2:00p.m. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2022 at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, DUBLIN-PLAIN CITY CHAPEL, 9720 SR 161, Plain City, Ohio 43064 (614)-733-0080 with Pastor Bob Groenke and Pastor Matt Cox, officiating.  Family burial will be held later at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio.  If they choose, friends may make memorial contributions to: Abundant Life Lutheran Church, P.O.
