Marcia C. Lewis

Marcia Carol Lewis, age 62, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. She was born May 28, 1959 in Chillicothe to Marjorie and the late R. Max Henry.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her three children, Sara (Josh) Jones, Jessica Lewis, and Eric (Chandler Fugate-Laus) Lewis; grandchildren Hazel Jones and Scarlett Jones; siblings Mike Henry, E. Marie Henry, and Mark Henry; and numerous other special family members and friends, whom she cherished.

Marcia graduated from Fairmont West High School in Kettering, Ohio in 1977, where she participated on the race walking team for the Kettering Striders. She had fond memories of her job at her family’s business, Henry’s Grocery Company, where she worked until moving to Chillicothe to start her family. She will be remembered for her remarkably kind and generous spirit, which she shared with her community as an active volunteer for her church, Unioto School District and various other organizations. Over the last 15+ years, Marcia was dedicated to her position as a one-on-one aide for the Unioto School system, and during this time, she formed a very special bond with Andrew, the student with whom she worked. Marcia was happiest when surrounded by her family and she took great joy in bringing her family together for holiday traditions. It was apparent to all who knew her that her most treasured role in life was that of being a mother and grandmother.

Her Memorial Service will be Monday, December 6, 2021 at Amlin United Methodist Church, 5441 Cosgray Road, Dublin, Ohio 43016, from 5:00-7:00pm. In an effort to keep all of our guests safe and healthy while we mourn, we request that masks be worn and only those vaccinated against COVID-19 attend.
