Jennifer Ann Winner-Williams

August 4, 1971 — May 29, 2023

Westerville, Ohio

Jennifer A. Winner-Williams, age 51, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 29, 2023. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Jennifer was a graduate of Kenton Senior High School, Class of 1989. She attended Miami University and The Ohio State University.

She was a devoted mother to Alex. They had adventures together: A Hilton Head Beach vacation on his first birthday, many, many trips to the zoo where Alex knew the names of most of the animals.  Just last summer they attended a paleontology/fossil hunting camp together. She encouraged Alex in his school work and he has excelled.

She loved her grandparents, Dorothy and Vern Winner and Granny J (Mardell Jule). Family holidays were very important to her as well as summer trips to Versailles for Poultry Days where she could spend time with her many cousins, aunts and uncles. She was able to live with Granny J while her aunt Renee stayed there as well. Jennifer and Renee were so very close, more like sisters than aunt and niece.

She aspired to be in Fashion Merchandising and for a while worked at a dress shop, however she found happiness working in the banking industry before Alex was born. She especially enjoyed working at a bank branch on campus while her brother Steve was attending OSU and playing football.

She was an avid OSU sports fan as she was raised in a truly Buckeye family. She enjoyed helping Granny J to the stadium for home games during the time Steve played, so Granny J could see her grandson play.

She enjoyed all sports and played softball as a youngster, volleyball and basketball in school in Kenton. She enjoyed attending many of her brother Rob‘s sports events, football, basketball and baseball while they were in high school together.

Above all, she was a kind, loving compassionate woman.  As Alex is the oldest grandchild of her and her siblings’ children in the family, she embraced each nephew and niece as they arrived in the family and made a point to spend time with them.

We will all miss her laugh, smile and hugs.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents Vernon J. Winner and Dorothy F. Winner, Mardell W. Jule and Robert F. Jule, and her cousins Shelly Buxton and Brett Oliver. She is survived by her loving son Alexander J. Williams, her parents Larry & Cheryl Winner and Jennie & Ted Schaub, her siblings: Rob & Crissie Winner and Steve & Jackie Winner, Julie & Craig (Lustek) Schaub, Kim & Pat Rudawsky and Jennifer & David Faure, nieces and nephews: Ryan Winner, Jake Winner, Penny Winner, Ben Winner, Sam Rudawsky, Deacon Rudawsky, Chloe Faure and Sarah Faure, Alex’s father and step-mother Tony & Tammy Williams, God Parents J.D. Winner and Joann Hock, and the many loving members of the Winner, Jule, Schaub & Cook Families, and her many, many friends.
