Jeffrey E. Martin

Jeffrey Martin, age 59 of Plain City (originally Hilliard) went home to be with his Savior on January 28, 2022.  That is the very date he asked the Lord into his heart 32 years prior. 

Jeff was a 1981 graduate of Hilliard High School and served our country in the United States Air Force from 1981-1985.  He was retired from SWACO where he worked for many years. 

Jeff was kind, friendly, easy going and known for his humor and quick laugh.  People loved him immediately.  He was fiercely patriotic, loyal, dependable, hardworking and had an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.  Jeff was legally blind; 22 years ago he was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a degenerative eye disease that had been slowly robbing him of his vision.  Despite this, Jeff always had a smile and a determination to continue to do the things he loved. Jeff will be greatly missed. 

He left behind his wife Kim of nearly 35 years and his cherished daughter Rachel; mother Ruth (Morrison) Martin; siblings Brenda Atkins, Janice (Bob) Kaufman, Bob (Gale) Martin, Steve (Dina) Martin, Lisa (Tony) Garrison; many cherished nieces and nephews; mother-in-law Lynn Sitler; Danielle Watts and Kayla Reichenbach whom he considered daughters; as well as countless close friends from the USAF and work.  He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law John Atkins, his father Robert J. Martin, and his father-in-law Robert Sitler.

Family will receive friends from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2022 at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, PLAIN CITY-DUBLIN CHAPEL, 9720 SR 161, Plain City, OH 43026 (614)-733-0080 where his Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 1:00p.m. WEDNESDAY.  Burial will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City, OH.
