Dorothy I. Wade

Dorothy I. Wade, age 95, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, June 7, 2026, surrounded by family. She is reunited with her loving husband, Herb, and her son, John.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Grettie Barker, her beloved husband, Herbert Wade, and her son, John Wade.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Lester (Bambi) Wade of Hilliard, OH, Brenda (Barry) Mays of Hilliard, OH, Larry Wade of Hilliard, OH, and daughter-in-law, Pat Wade, her sister, Jessie Giffith of Blaine, KY, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Dorothy spent a lifetime working for her family and making sure they were all cared for and happy. She was a member of Hayden Baptist Church where she served faithfully for many years. She planned and worked spaghetti dinners and bake sales, something she loved doing. She also loved making cakes and delivering them for birthdays and special occasions.

She will be missed by her family, but we are happy for her, she has longed to be with daddy and John.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation and funeral service in Dorothy's honor. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026. The funeral service will be held the following day, Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 12:00PM, at the Hayden Baptist Church, 6729 Hayden Run Road, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026.
