Andrew McGlaughlin

Andrew McGlaughlin passed away Thursday August 6, 2026. Andrew was born April 25, 2004, in Columbus Ohio. Andrew was a 2022 Graduate of Jonathan Alder High School and a current University of Cincinnati, Mechanical Engineering Student. He spent several of the last semesters co-oping at Avient Corporation. Andrew loved playing Rugby where in Junior High and High School he played for the Hilliard Bears then at the University of Cincinnati where he was the current President of the University of Cincinnati Rugby Football Club.

Andrew will be remembered for his kindness, gentle spirit, and always being ready to help when anyone needed anything. He lived a life filled with love, laughter, and genuine happiness. He will be remembered for the joy he brought to others while at the same time, Andrew quietly carried struggles with mental health that were not always visible to those around him. Both were true: he knew happiness and was deeply loved, even while facing battles that could sometimes be overwhelming.

Andrew was preceded in death by Grandfather Robert Allan Duhl and Grandmother Johanna Nimitz, and Uncle Patrick McGlaughlin. He is survived by parents, Gerald and Carrie McGlaughlin, grandmother Lynda Duhl, siblings Tyler (Manda) Dixon, Jacob (Morgan) McGlaughlin, nephew and nieces, Asher, Callie and Hattie, longtime girlfriend Ellie Heisler. Uncles and aunts; Scott (Wendy) Duhl, Karen (Terry) Angle, Rand (Mona) McGlaughlin, Jennifer (Micah) Ferebee, Kathy McGlaughlin; cousins Tina (Jason) Esken, Brittany (Greg) Cvetonovich, Seth and Levi Kolopajlo, Zachary (Annie) Gerrasch, Madison (Nick) Klawitter, Spencer Duhl, Cydnee (Griffin) Ray, Zachary (Kayla) Duhl, Nick, Aubree, Maycee, Blaklee and Logan.

Family will receive friends from 1:00p.m.-3:00p.m. and 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. FRIDAY, AUGUST 14, 2026 at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, PLAIN CITY-DUBLIN CHAPEL, 9720 SR 161, Plain City, OH 43064 (614)-733-0080 and again from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m. on SATURDAY, AUGUST 15, 2026. His Funeral Service will be held on SATURDAY at 11:00a.m. Andrew will be laid to rest at Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City, Ohio.
