Andrew James Bacon

“Andrew James Bacon of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on May 31, 2026, at age 31.Born on June 19, 1994, in Columbus, Andy was the beloved child of Mary (Liz) and James (Bo) Bacon.

Affectionately known as “Andybacon,” Andy was a gentle and loving guy. His childhood was full of fun memories, where the most cherished time was spent outdoors. He loved visiting his grandparents in Glandorf, boat rides on Lake Choctaw, camping trips in Hocking Hills, and backyard bonfires. He was an avid sports fan and excelled as a point guard for his high school basketball team. His love of the outdoors and sports was equally matched by his love for animals; he was able to befriend even the meanest of feral cats and enjoyed dog-sitting his sister’s dog, Sully.

Gone far too soon, Andy will be deeply missed. His presence touched so many lives, and his loss will be felt profoundly by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Andy is survived by his parents, Liz and Bo Bacon, his brother Aaron (Emily) Bacon, his sister Claire (Adam) Hinkle, his nephews Drew, Theo and Sam, niece Libby, and many other loving “relations” and “add-ons.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, from 9:30-11:30am at Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church at 9350 High Free Pike, West Jefferson, OH 43162. The funeral service will immediately follow, and the family invites you to a luncheon after the service. Burial will be privately held at a later date.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to their friends and family for their care and support during this time.
